3 Recipes for Handmade Body Products

 
Homemade Deodorant
"Miss Tracy's Super Simple Pit PowderTM"

Unscented
1/2 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup baking soda

Scented
4-6 drops of essential oil (optional)
a pinch of crushed lavender buds (optional)

Stirring carefully, mix all of the ingredients together and pour into your container of choice like a cool, vintage, salt shaker or recycled seasoning shaker. Mmmm....

NOTE:  We don't all have the same type of skin, so if you find that you're pits are having a reaction, discontinue use.

Bath Salts 
Simple + Sweet Bath Salts
 
1/2 cup epsom salts
1/2 cup baking soda
10-15 drop of essential oil of choice (optional)
 
Stirring carefully, mix all of the ingredients together and pour into your container of choice like a nice, recycled, food jar. Yum!
 
NOTE: If any of thise product irritates your body in any way, please discontinue use.

Body Oil
Coco-Nutty Body Oil

1/2 cup jojoba oil (or oil of choice)
1/4 cup warmed coconut oil
1/4 tbsp warmed cocoa butter
1 drop each of peppermint, rosemary, eucalyptus and chamomile oil (optional)
 
Combine the coconut oil and cocoa butter in a small pan and gently heat on very, very low heat just until it melts. Remove from heat. Allow mixture to cool slightly. Pour into a glass jar.
Shake before each use. 
 
You can substitute jojoba oil for any of the following oils: grapeseed, wheat germ, sesame, almond, safflower, castor, olive, safflower and sunflower.
