The shop has re-opened and I'm filling it with holiday goodies for your space that celebrate who you are. This is one of my brand new drawings from my new art project - The Very Me Art Project. Go check out what's in the shop and see if anything resonates with you, or if something speaks to you for a loved one.

Drawing No. 31 : A Smile Is A Precious Gift...
When you're out in the world living life, doing errands, etc, and you look into a stranger's face, and your eyes meet and they smile -- such a gift in a minuscule moment in time. I believe this, which is why I wrote and illustrated it. :)

Doodle No. 23 : You Are What You Say You Are
Most of us have encountered that person who attempts to define others (let's name him/her "The Definer"). Examples: when the subject of ethnicity comes up and they say "you don't look insert ethnicity here" as if they know what ALL the world's people look like (most all afro latinos know what I'm talking about here), or someone says that they're bisexual and 'The Definer' says, "ah, you're just gay". This doodle was inspired by the world's many "definers" - who, unbeknownst to them, don't have the power to define anyone, but themselves.
NOTE: While reading this back to myself, it struck me that it sounds like a personal experience post, but actually, it came from many posts I've read in my travels on Instagram - the place where I'm getting much of my inspiration from these days. :)

Doodle No. 11 : Bearded Boys Rule
My man crush Monday is this dude, who's rockin' both the cute afro and the beard. I've been crushin' on beards for months now, and apparently, it's still a thing (because, ya know, when it shows up in your work, it's a thing). Enjoy my [rare] drawing of a male. lol

Doodle No. 10 : Women Hold Up Half The Sky
To say that women hold up half the sky is to say that men hold up the other half. Which is also to say that we are equal, which we are not. Am I right? Even though women hold up way more than half the sky, I still like this quote.
